Pocket mini book

Last year I created a pocket mini book, with tags for them, to my brother for his birthday, so he could write on the tags his goals for the next year.


 
 

2 weeks ago I made a scrap party and decided to make also a small workshop and this pocket mini book looks like great idea. on the tag you can add a photo instead of writing something.



I loved the outcome becouse it is rather simple to make and small enough to cary it in a handbag, so it is great also as a present for grandmother to showoff the grandchildren.

My treasure in a mini album

 
The idea of a treasure map is to focus our mind and wishes on the things we want to do because the main problem for most people is that they know what they don't want to be, but they don't know what they want to be.
This treasure map I made as a mini album, and inside it I need to write in each page, a goal for the future, That way I can create the life I want.

Just the 2 of Us

 

The Jewish valentine day is around the corner, we celebrate it on the Jewish month of Av, so I decided to make a mini album about the 2 of us, me and my husband.

I used pictures form our wedding day, my husband is still waiting for me to finish our big wedding album so now he will have something to look at until the main album will be ready…

The covers of the album is made of cardboard and the papers inside are from the collection "On the Wings of a Dream" by "Shabby Green Door", it is very romantic and has delicate colors so they fits perfect to a wedding theme.

All About Me

 

When I start working on this mini book I had a little difficulty.  Apparently in the last five or six years I don't have photos of me alone, in all my photos I am with my husband, kids or other persons. Actually, my wedding and honeymoon are the last occasions that I was in the center of them and I have photos of me only.

Maybe it is naturals that when we have kids, especially if we are scrapers, we become the person behind the camera. I am sure that it happens a lot to you that you see a situation and you say;" wow, I have to take a picture of that, it could be a great LO…" yes, I know it, it happen to me a lot.

Anyway, the fact is that I have few photos of me from the last years and I decided to change that from now on.

This is the inner part of the cover and the typewriter begins the story. By the way, now I am all in inspirational sentences, wisdom lines and sentences that has some kind of motivating meaning, and I used few of these in the album.

Family fun mini book

Last Friday was the third class I taught for scrapbook beginners.

At that class we learned how to make mini book and how to approach its design. We also learned few simple techniques that can be used on every scrap project.

 

In this mini album I used photos that were taken in trip that all my family took one day to a place called "Alligator Stream".  It is called that because of the alligators that were there long time ago, but today you can't find any of them there.

mini book "Israel"

As you know, I invited Nathalie Kalbach to come to Israel to teach 3 workshops and she was here last month teaching us wonderful and amazing workshops. As a thank you present I made her a mini book and called it "Israel" (of course), I designed it in a way that she could add photos from her visit here when she will go back home.

The cover of the mini book is canvas and for the papers inside I used "rusted sun" collection by Fancy Pants.

 

 

The Star of David is a silver jewelry:

 

 

 

 
  

 

 

 

 

 

 

Here I put "Hamsa" that is a Mediterranean charm shaped as a palm and it supposed to protect from bad eye and bring good luck. The word "Hamsa" comes from the Arab word "five".
